Domains in quarantine

If the owner of a domain doesn't pay the yearly maintenance fee, the domain will be suspended (quarantined) for a period for 90 days. After the quarantine period the domain will be deleted from the registry and will be available for registration on a first-come first-served basis.

We publish a list of domain names that will expire in the next few days. You can browse the list in the Auctions area.

First In-Line service

Our First In-Line service will monitor a domain name and will try to register it as soon as it becomes available. This is also known as drop catching or domain capturing.

Bidding for your domain

If more people are interested in a domain name, a public auction is started and the highest bidder will be awarded the domain name if we manage to capture it. The auction for a domain name will close 1h before the estimated release date. Eureg does not take part in the auctions and we don't register the names for ourselves in order to auction them later for a higher price.

Capturing the domain

We monitor the domain status and as soon as it's removed from the registry, we'll try reserve it for the highest bidder. The more popular the name the more people will be interested in that domain and more companies (like us) will try to capture it, therefore we cannot guarantee in any way that we'll capture the domain.

Resources are allocated based on auction closing price, therefore a closing price of €100 will have more chances than a closing price of €20.

Cancelled auctions

Domain names are usually released after midnight and we close the bidding for all auctions at 11:30pm in order to prepare our systems. Domain owners can renew a domain name at any moment, up to the moment it is released by RoTLD. Some owners choose to extend their domain name minutes before midnight, it's their right and we cannot control this. Our system will detect if a domain name was renewed and will cancel the Auction and the First In-Line service for the domain. You might receive a notification about this change in domain status.

Successful capture

If we manage to capture the domain, you will receive an invoice by email, invoice that you need to pay within 24h otherwise the reservation might expire.
